About
Welcome to Aesthetically Yours, the premier electrolysis studio in Meridian, Idaho and serving the greater Boise area. Bid farewell to unwanted hair with our permanent hair removal solutions. *** Hello! My name is Kaitlyn Caldwell, the owner. I am a Medical Aesthetician, Licensed Electrologist, and Laser Technician. I've trained extensively at institutions like the Oliver Finley Academy in Boise, Idaho, the Aesthetics Institute of Portland, Oregon, and the Broward Institute of Miami, Florida. Now, I'm excited to bring my knowledge and experience from one of the largest cosmetic states back to my native Idaho. Specializing in electrolysis, the only FDA-approved method for permanent hair removal, I've honed my expertise over years of practice at the helm of my own business. With a focus on personalized treatments, I have refined my skills in addressing a myriad of aesthetic and skincare concerns and mastered the art of helping clients achieve permanent results with precision and care. My clients appreciate my deep knowledge, honesty, compassion, and support throughout their journey. I am committed to ensuring that every client is left feeling confident and empowered with the healthy, beautiful skin they deserve. At Aesthetically Yours, I'm passionate about helping you realize your skincare goals through the transformative power of electrolysis. Take the first step towards hairless skin by booking your free consultation today. Pre- Treatment - Gently exfoliate 4 days before treatment. - DRINK, DRINK, DRINK water and you can’t moisturize enough before treatment! (being well-hydrated helps hair to release easier) - Do not exfoliate 2 days prior to treatment. - You may take ibuprofen to decrease your sensitivity. Please don’t take Aspirin for this is a blood thinner. - Once you begin sessions you can no longer tweeze, wax, epilate or thread the area being treated. (shaving or trimming is strongly recommended to tolerate uncomfortable hair growth between treatments) - Stay out of the sun and tanning beds 48 hours prior and post treatment. - Not required but to aid in pain management please apply numbing cream 30 mins prior to appointment time. - Please avoid chemical peels or facials should be avoided one week before and after electrolysis treatment. - For more extreme peels or certain laser treatments; Please ask your technician who did the service what they recommend. - If you have a history of cold sores please take preventative action because electrolysis can possibly trigger a reaction. - For pain management Avoid coffee/stimulants –>this can make you more susceptible to sensitivity during treatment. Post -Treatment - Avoid touching, friction, scratching, or picking the treated area for the first 24-48 hours after treatment. - Avoid hot baths, saunas, and tanning salons for the first few days after treatment. - Apply an overall sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 30. - After 5-7 days you may begin exfoliation. - Completely normal side effects are redness, swelling, tenderness. and occasionally tiny scabs may appear. If this is the case DO NOT pick or scratch the area. Apply Cool Cloth compresses for relief. - Electrolysis is a process that takes time, patience and dedication. The reward will all be worth it and I’m excited to be a part of your journey! Contraindications If you have any of the following you must have a doctors note approving electrolysis treatment: - Heart conditions - Metal implants: pacemakers, pins, rods, plates, etc. - Stimulator: brain, bladder, etc - Uncontrollable diabetes - Any disease or medication that sensitizes the skin or cause slow healing - When in doubt please ask your physician. - If you want hair out of a mole treatment.
